This is my fourteenth winter season with the company. I came out to the Alps at the age of 21 and loved it so much that I never left. Since starting work back in 1997 I have helped to develop the crèches and the range of services that we provide today. Over that period I have learnt what works best for the children.
I have a brilliant team of nannies, some new and a few that have returned year after year. Our nannies have a very close relationship with the parents. On arrival they will meet every parent and ensure that every child’s individual needs are catered for. We provide a warm, safe and friendly environment for the children to enjoy their special holiday and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Our childcare, crèche and nanny services are available for children staying in Ski Beat chalets. We offer afternoon childcare and crèches in three of our ski resorts - La Plagne, Les Arcs and La Rosière. Our childcare service enables parents and young children alike to enjoy their family skiing holiday to the full. We employ experienced British nannies to care for your children, leaving you free to ski safe in the knowledge that they are being cared for in the best possible way. We have low nanny to child ratios to ensure that each child has all the attention he or she needs and deserves. The ratios are deliberately tight and strictly adhered to. Childcare is operated on a first come, first served basis so book early to avoid disappointment.
We offer a 6-day crèche service 08.45-17.00 Sunday to Friday
Our crèches provide clean, safe and stimulating environments for the children using the service. The crèches are organised according to age groups and activities, providing all the facilities required by a modern day nursery. In each of our crèches the Ski Beat nannies will have the equipment set up and ready for the children’s arrival in the morning. There are lots of games, toys and craft materials to stimulate the children.
In addition, there will be time to play outside, subject to weather conditions and parental consent. After lunch there will normally be a quieter period and children needing a sleep will be able to do so in the separate sleeping area.
We offer an afternoon service from the end of ski school until 17.00 Sunday to Friday inclusive. This service is available for children aged 4-7 years inclusive (4-9 years in La Rosière).
Once parents settle their children into ski school, the Ski Beat nanny will be on hand during the course of the lessons, however our nannies will not actually ski with the children.
At the end of the morning lessons she will collect all the children who are using the afternoon care service and accompany them back to a Ski Beat chalet for lunch - this is likely to be whichever chalet the most children are staying in. Our nannies cannot take children back to ski school for afternoon lessons.
After lunch there will be a mixture of indoor and outdoor activities including painting, drawing and, depending on the weather, snowman building, sledging and much more. There will also be a choice of books and games as well as a selection of children’s videos.
The service is based on 6 days cover, includes lunch and will take place in your chalet. The nanny will be responsible solely for those children in your group and the number of children they can look after is in accordance with the published Ski Beat ratios of nanny/children. It is not possible to mix children requiring all day care with those attending morning ski school and afternoon childcare.
