Driving can be a quick and economical way to get to the Alps: if you arrange all of your travel independently, there is a £100 per person discount. We are not able to offer the independent travel discount on 18 & 25 February.
We will provide directions to your chalet as part of your E-tickets & Welcome Pack, as well as the chalet contact telephone number & Resort Manager number. Chalet addresses and GPS coordinates are shown at the bottom of this page, but please note there is just one postcode per resort - it's not the same as UK postcodes per street!! We do have a map of each of our resorts:
| La Plagne → | Les Arcs → | La Rosiere → | La Tania → | Meribel → | Val d'Isere → |
Please note: Chalets are not accessible before 09.00h on the day of arrival and breakfast is not provided. Your specific room will not be available until later in the day, but we will provide somewhere for you to store your luggage and change so that you can get out skiing. The departing guests may still be in the chalet when you arrive; we ask that you show them all due consideration. If they are still in the chalet you will be shown to a local restaurant for breakfast (at your own expense). On the day of departure we can leave a room (with shower) available for you until 16.00h. Please remember that the chalet host has a busy day on changeover day, cleaning the whole chalet and dealing with guests arriving and departing at a variety of times, so we appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
The easiest way from Calais is to follow the A26 autoroute for Reims that passes Troyes and Dijon. South of Dijon it joins the main Paris/ Lyon autoroute, the A6, at Beaune. Lyon is by-passed by taking the A46 and A43 to Chambery. NB At the toll 15km before Lyon keep to the right-hand lane as the turn-off is 2km on the right. From Chambery follow directions for Albertville. At Albertville the motorway leads directly onto the dual carriageway to Moutiers. Follow the signs for Bourg St Maurice. It is motorway from Calais to Albertville; tolls are approx €70-75 each way. Your welcome pack will have specifc directions to your chalet.
All of the resorts have some car parking:
| La Plagne | Free open air car park |

Make sure you are prepared for your journey: conditions can be treacherous on the roads to the resorts and snow chains are a legal requirement in the Alps. You can buy snowchains in France, or buy them in the UK before you leave from www.snowchains.com on 01892 519 933. For a discount please say that you are staying with Ski Beat.
If you are arranging your own train travel, please see our Resort Transfer page for details of taxi companies who can arrange transfers. If you are arranging your own flights to the Alps, you will also need to arrange your own transfers.
