We have chosen resorts for their excellent snow records throughout the season. There are also excellent snow making facilities/snow cannons in all of our resorts.
Single travellers & Under Occupancy supplements
All of our prices are based on twin occupancy therefore we have to charge under occupancy of any rooms which are not filled to this capacity. The price varies according to the chalet and date of travel rather then being a set supplement, so please call our office for a quote or use the live availability and booking section of our website.
What methods of payment do you accept?
You can pay by BACS (online transfer), cheque, debit card or credit card. Please note, there is a 2% charge for Credit cards. Unfortunately we cannot accept AMEX, Solo, Diners Club or other chargecards.
Party Leaders should gather payment from everyone in their group, then pay in a single transaction. If individuals wish to pay their final balance to us directly, this will have to be done by BACS. Banking details will be provided to party leaders.
Please note for last minute bookings we can only accept card payments as other methods may take too long to clear into our account.
Can we ski on the day of arrival or departure?
Passengers on our Gatwick-Geneva flight may be able to ski in the afternoon of arrival day. Passengers on our Manchester-Grenoble flight may be able to ski on the final morning. Please remember that transfer times may vary due to flight delays and adverse weather, and you also need to factor in the time required for check-in, or getting through passport control and collecting your luggage - we cannot refund any part of a lift pass if not used.
If you are making your own travel arrangements you may be able to ski on the day of arrival and the day of departure. In this case, your host will advise you where to store luggage and will provide a room for changing. Please note the chalets are not accessible before 9am on day of arrival or after 4pm on day of departure for independent travellers.
Can we smoke in the chalet?
All of our chalets are non-smoking, however Ski Beat staff will supply ashtrays on the balconies of the chalets as required.
All of our chalets have a digicode lock - your chalet host will tell you the code on arrival and will explain how to operate the lock. We ask that you close all doors & windows securely when you leave the chalet, just as you would do for your own home.

Are towels provided & are they changed during the week?
We will provide each guest with a hand and bath towel. For environmental reasons, towels will not be changed during the week.
We do not provide hairdryers in most chalets - please bring your own & don't forget your travel plug! The only 2 chalets with hairdryers are the Cervin in Meribel, and Bouc Blanc in Les Arcs.

Can I just pay for part of the week in the Creche/childcare?
The full 6 days childcare will need to be paid for, but if you do not wish to put your child in for the full week, please discuss this with the nanny on the first day (however no refund can be given for only taking part of the week).
What equipment do Ski Beat provide for infants (0-23mth)?
Ski Beat will provide the following equipment: Cots & cot linen, highchairs, Milton sterilising units, baby listening devises & high tea. You do not need to pre-order these items. There is an £80 charge for infants. This also includes a seat on the coach transfer. Please note: that child seats are not provided, this is due to the vagaries of French law. There is no reduction in price if any of these items are not required / used.
Do I need to bring a pushchair?
It is ultimately your choice, but in most cases we say no: Do remember that for much of the season, pushchairs are not practical around resort: there is snow & ice, steps and hills! Each creche will have a couple for use by the nannies, but these are not for hire. Some guests do choose to bring them - they can be useful at the airport, and can be transported on our flights.

Do I have to book a Ski Beat holiday to use the creche?
Yes, the childcare services are for use of Ski Beat guests only.

Can we pre-book seats on the flights?
You cannot pre-book seats on flights, as seats are allocated on a first come first served basis, therefore if you would like a particular seat we would suggest that you check-in early.

Monarch: You can fly with Monarch provided you won't have passed your 34th week of pregnancy by the time of your return flight. If you are 28-34 weeks pregnant, you will need to carry with you a doctor's or midwife's certificate of fitness to fly. The certificate will only be accepted if 1) it is dated not more than 14 days prior to the start date of your trip 2) it is signed by your Doctor or Midwife and states that you are fit to fly on both the outbound and inbound flight dates. You will not be permitted to travel without proof that you are fit to fly for both legs of your journey. 3) it states the expected date of delivery of your baby 4) your Doctor or Midwife states that you are in good health, that they are happy for you to fly, and that (in their opinion) there is no reason why you cannot fly
New mothers are not permitted to travel for the first 14 days after giving birth.
New born infants are not permitted to travel for the first 7 days after birth and further restrictions apply if the baby was born prematurely
